Tool want-list

Want to buy:
- Stanley #84-205A: This is listed as a bolt-cutter, but
is more like a giant version of those screw cutters that
are built into wire-terminal crimping tools. Two plates
pivot past each other, driven by two 2-foot-long arms
through a leverage-compounding mechanism. One plate
has threaded holes, the other, plain holes. As
the plates move past each other, they shear off
the bolt and when you back the bolt out of the threaded
hole, it leaves an undamaged thread. It cuts bolts
from #4-40 to 5/16"-18 and plain rod in the same sizes.
There are slots for cutting links as well.
This tool is no longer made. After 15 years of
looking and 7 years of publicizing my search on my
web page, I finally found a pair on E-bay, for which
I paid [I'll never tell]. I would gladly
buy another pair offered in good condition.
(I have one more place I want to keep one handy.)
I think (just by looking) that these sold for
about $20 or $25 in the 1970s when I got the first pair.
Let me know what you want for yours, or the pair
you see in a garage sale. (After many years, I'm
still looking. If you can find this tool, I
might be persuaded to pay well for it.)
