So, where are the pictures?

It's quite simple, really. You are either here for information about us and our services, or you're passing through on your way to other web sites. In either case, the more time you wait for the graphics to load, the longer you sit on your thumbs. And the Web is far too large and growing too fast for you to wait too long just to see a picture of someone's pet sock.

We've chosen to focus on keeping the graphics to a minimum and consistant across all our pages. Hopefully that will help you use our site for your launch into the Web! All of our pages should load in under 10 seconds on a 14.4 modem. That is our goal.

Animated gifs are another technical sin to avoid. They may seem fine on a Microsoft machine, but on other operating systems, they are problems. Netscape, under unix, reloads the gif from disk continuously, instead of reading from its memory cache. This has the effect of hammering the disk drive, and slowing down the entire system. The result is the unix user leaves your page as quickly as possible. Finally in Netscape 4, they have acknowledged this problem, and the stop button will now also stop the animations.
